Water-Based System Bentonite Thickening Rheological Additive HT-101

HT-101 is a premium-grade, inorganic rheological additive derived from highly purified, specially modified montmorillonite. Designed as a high-performance substitute for traditional cellulose ethers, it provides superior thixotropy and thickening efficiency in aqueous systems. With its exceptional thermal stability and resistance to corrosion and biological degradation, HT-101 offers reliable performance across a broad pH range (pH 6–12), making it the ideal choice for high-end latex paints, water-based coatings, inks, and personal care formulations.

Features & Applications:

HT-101 water-based bentonite is a natural aluminum silicate thickening rheological additive. Its main component is hydrophilic, high-purity, specially modified montmorillonite. The product exhibits the following characteristics:

1. Thixotropic effect: Low viscosity at high shear, high viscosity at low shear, with strong thixotropy. It can completely replace traditional cellulose ether thickeners.
2. Wide applicable pH range (pH 6–12): Easy to use — can be added directly as dry powder without the need for activation.
3. Excellent weather resistance, anti-corrosion, and anti-enzymatic properties: Stable viscosity across different temperatures.
4. Stability: Superior biological stability and good thermal stability.
5. Compared with organic polymer thickeners: Less prone to flocculation, color floating, and surface cloudiness.
6. Obvious dosage limit: Beyond a certain dosage, viscosity increases sharply.

Widely used in: Various latex paints, water-based paints, water-based inks, nanomaterials, toothpaste, cosmetics, etc.

Packaging & Storage:

Double-layer packaging (kraft paper + PE liner) or valve paper bag, 25±0.25kg (customizable).
Store dry at 0–30°C;
Shelf life: 24 months.
