Organic Bentonite Introduction

Organic bentonite is a modified clay mineral derived from high-purity natural bentonite through organic activation. With excellent thixotropy, suspension, thickening, and anti-settling performance, it is widely used as a rheological additive in coatings, inks, lubricants, adhesives, sealants, cosmetics, and oil-drilling fluids.

After organic modification, the layered structure of bentonite becomes more compatible with organic solvents and resin systems, allowing it to form a stable three-dimensional network that improves viscosity, prevents pigment settling, enhances film uniformity, and provides long-lasting storage stability.

Organic bentonite offers outstanding features such as high gel strength, good thermal stability, easy dispersion, and strong anti-sagging effect—making it an ideal choice for high-performance industrial applications that require excellent rheology control.
